Value of value add

3/01/2006 07:44:00 AM, posted by anand

Using the dialup connection when your DSL goes down due to a technical fault, is a value added service and the user will be charged for that. Yes, thats what the Tata VSNL Indicom guys believe in.

My DSL got knocked off several times during the week due to VSNL's technical and billing issues and when I used the dialup connection to get to the net, they billed me for the "value added feature". Yeah right!

I called up the customer service number and they said blah blah, we understand your issue but pay up. So, I am going to blast off an email to customerservice@vsnl.co.in. Watch out.
