Viva la Singapore

So as the flight was about 10 minutes away from touchdown, I looked outside the window. The plane was flying low enough for me to be able to see the ocean below. There were so many ships in the water. Some of them were loaded with goods, others empty probably waiting to be loaded. There were hundreds of them. Most of them were the big monstrous kind.

The scene looked like the Pacific Ocean under the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco full of sail boats during summer. Except, here it was commercial ships. Just shows how important the Singapore hub is for commerce. A National Geography documentary that I saw in Beijing, mentioned that about 1/3 of all commercial ships in the world pass through Singapore.
