Motorola's $40 cellphone

Just read this in the newspaper on the Mumbai airport that Motorola launched a new GSM phone C115 in India, priced at Rs. 1700 (about 40 bucks). This is the cheapest handset in the country so far. Its beats even the Chinese manufacturers in price.

The handset has been assembled in India itself and is being billed at a "Made in India" phone. The story said that Motorola is going to launch another phone in the $30 category. Great for consumers, great for Motorola's market share (I hope!)
