Wireless device database

Here is a great database of all the gazillion wireless devices out there. Its called WURFL. The device data lives in an XML repository and can be accessed by pretty much any language out there that can read and parse XML. This can act as a configuration file that you can use when you develop that mobile application. No more Googling around for device characterisitics and support.

This XML repository contains atleast the bare minimum, user-agent string for each device. Here is the doc that describes the device capabilities that go into that XML doc.

Makes a wireless developer's life easier, huh? You bet!
