Broadband Wifi launched in India

I4D reports that Dishnet has launched Dishnet Red Wifi Broadband service in Calcutta. They are planning to setup hotspots in various locations like shopping malls, railway stations, hotels, restaurants, cafes etc. In the first phase they are going to cover big cities such as Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. They are planning to cover 38 cities by March 2006 and put 6000 Hotspots across the country.
