The growth, rise and future of RSS

A good article on VentureBlog which explains that RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is not something revolutionary. It is basically a form of push technology, that companies like Marimba and Pointcast originally had worked on in the mid-90's. It also describes how the growth and adoption of RSS models the evolution of the world wide web, what services are available today and where it is all heading. The article gives a nice overview of the entire RSS ecosystem from thirty thousand feet above.
